Goldstein Law Partners appellate attorneys have considerable experience briefing appellate arguments and a detailed knowledge of appellate procedures. They worked inside chambers when majority and dissenting opinions were drafted, and have reviewed and made recommendations regarding petitions for allowance of appeal.

Overview

Our Appellate attorneys have extensive experience briefing and arguing cases in the federal courts of appeal, state appellate courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Our attorneys gained experience serving as law clerks for every level of Pennsylvania’s appellate courts and for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  We perform a range of services relating to the filing of an appeal in state or federal court, including advice and assistance on preserving significant legal issues at the trial court level and briefing arguments on appeal.

A Few Representative Engagements:

  • Filed Amicus Curiae brief with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in Ladd, et al. v. Real Estate Commission, et al., 33 MAP 2018 (Pa. 2018) in a matter concerning the proper standard of review for issues of economic regulation and substantive due process
  • Filed Amici Curiae brief with the U.S. Supreme Court in In re Vencil, No. 16-1253
  • Successfully represented the State Committee of a major political party before an appeal to the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court on an election law dispute
