Jonathan Goldstein and Shawn Rodgers of Goldstein Law Partners, together with Samantha Harris of Allen Harris Law, represents Joshua Katz, a Princeton University classics professor in a lawsuit filed against the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS). ACLS breached its obligations owed to Professor Katz when ACLS revoked his appointment as the organization’s delegate to the Union Académique Internationale (“UAI”), a position that carries recognition and prestige within the academic community. ACLS rescinded its agreement with Professor Katz after the professor published a letter espousing his reasonable and measured views regarding racism and Princeton’s policies and practices. ACLS removed the action to federal court, where it is currently pending in the District of New Jersey.
