Experience

Evan Davis is counsel to Goldstein Law Partners.  Having previously served as the General Counsel for a gaming company with over 1,500 employees and $300 million in annual gaming revenues, Evan understands the complexities associated with operating in highly regulated environments, and further appreciates the needs of in-house attorneys to obtain effective and efficient legal advice from their outside counsel.  Earlier in his career, Evan focused on antitrust and commercial litigation as an attorney at Dechert LLP and Pepper Hamilton LLP, and clerked for the Honorable Robert B. Kugler of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

In addition to practicing law, Evan also serves as Managing Director for SeventySix Capital Sports Advisory, where he leads the sports and gaming vertical.  He is an internationally recognized expert in sports wagering and is a frequent conference speaker and media presence on the topic.

Evan was named by the Philadelphia Inquirer as a 2019 “Influencer of Law,” and is a recipient of The Legal Intelligencer’s 2019 “GC Impact” award and the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2017 “Best of the Bar” award. Evan was also named by the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2019 and Emerging Leaders of Gaming and Global Gaming Business magazine in 2018 to their respective classes of “40 Under 40.” 

Evan currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, a charity that serves over 3,000 inner-city children in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ, and on the Board of Trustees for the Bala Cynwyd Library in Lower Merion Township, PA.  He is also an FCC-licensed amateur radio operator.

Education

Evan received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his law degree cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as an editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.

Evan is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
